The next-generation nutrition-analysis and food labeling software, Nutritionist Pro 2.1, has been released by First DataBank. The release incorporates new food labels with trans fat and an expanded knowledge base to meet the needs of today's busy nutrition professionals for faster and more accurate nutrition analysis. The new version complies with FDA regulations for including trans fat on food labels, says the company. “This add-on module allows foodservice and nutrition professionals to create and print 17 types of nutrition facts labels. In addition, labels may include Nutrient Content Claims, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). The labels generated are guaranteed to meet all requirements of the FDA Code of Federal Regulations. This software version also comes with an electronic tutorial on CD-ROM, to help new users of Nutritionist Pro become familiar with the product's features and functions.
