The Gold Kist, an integrated chicken company, has announced that William T. Andersen has been elected to the position of vice president, sales and marketing, succeeding Jerry L. Stewart, who has retired from the company.

Andersen joined the company in 2001 as director of Further Processing and, for the past 10 months, has served as senior director of sales and marketing. Andersen joined Gold Kist with 10 years of experience in poultry processing and food product manufacturing and sales.
