Anglo-Dutch consumer products giant Unilever PLC said it is looking at strategic options for its frozen foods business which includes the Iglo, Findus and Birds Eye brands.
“The frozen foods business has created considerable value for shareholders for a number of years. It has now been decided to investigate how best to maintain this into the future,” the company said in a statement.
The announcement follows recent press reports that the company had asked U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs to explore options for the division, which could include a disposal of some or all assets, or retaining the business.
