Just Born Inc., in launching Hot Tamales 3 Alarm and a new package for its Hot Tamales candy, performed some “lighthearted” research into the thoughts of young college students.

“Hottest” TV and movie celebrities were, respectively, Ashton Kutcher and Ryan Reynolds, while the “hottest” musician was Katy Perry. The “hottest” celebrity trend is hair color and style changes, while the “hottest” food trend is “fresh or supporting local growers,” followed by “yogurt.”
In terms of the actual new product, Hot Tamales 3 Alarm promises three increasing levels of heat: hot, hotter and hottest.
