Meet Kristen Thompson (KT) President of Frozen & Vegetables & SVP

It all started many, many, many years ago. As a small child when Kristen received a toy grocery store from her mother and father for Christmas one year and from that, developed an unusual passion for food products and the retail food industry. Starting out as a retail merchandiser for a food broker, she worked her way from the shelves of the grocery stores to a role as an Associate Brand Manager for a food company and eventually many other roles & jobs in brand management, sales & marketing.

Today Kristen leads the Green Giant Frozen & Shelf Stable Vegetable business for B&G Foods. Prior to B&G, worked at Pinnacle Foods (and for a short while, ConAgra Brands) on such businesses as Birds Eye Vegetables & Meals, Wish-Bone Salad Dressing, Swanson Hungry-Man and many others.

Her experience in frozen food and passion for consumer insights and problem-solving lead to a focus on new product development and innovation which is a critical part her role at B&G today.

Kristen is a veteran of the industry, with more than +15 years in frozen food & CPG and is a graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She lives in Randolph, NJ with her husband Pete, daughter Katie and crazy golden labradoodle, Jacks.
