Kellogg's is putting a new twist on a classic favorite with the launch of Kellogg's® Raisin Bran® with Cranberries. Cranberries, deemed a superfood, have proven health benefits from their Vitamin C and fiber content and are an antioxidant powerhouse that are delicious year round. This newest addition to the timeless combination of crisp bran flakes with whole grain wheat and raisins adds an extra zing with its new sweet and tart flavor to get the morning going.
Cranberries contain a wide variety of good-for-you compounds, in fact, they top the list of fruits and vegetables richest in antioxidants, like vitamin E. According to Packaged Facts research1, adults are looking for ingredients that will help their specific nutrition needs, including fiber, antioxidants, calcium and whole grains.
Every serving of the new Kellogg's Raisin Bran with Cranberries and one half cup of skim milk, contains five grams of fiber, an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin E, 15 percent of daily value for calcium, and eight grams of protein. That constitutes a perfect nutritious and tasty breakfast option.
"People have been telling us that they are searching for breakfasts that contain more health benefits like antioxidants, and specifically would like to see cranberries in our cereals," said Jeremy Harper, senior director of marketing for Kellogg's Morning Foods. "We know that adults in particular are looking for a nutritious breakfast, but aren't willing to sacrifice on taste or flavor – and with our delicious addition to the Kellogg's Raisin Bran line, they don't have to."
